What’s What: Calling all crafters! The Potter League for Animals is looking for cat and dog blankets. The blankets can be sewn, crocheted, knitted, or upcycled!
Amava Take: Most blankets are knitted, but fleece, crocheted and upcycled blankets work well! Cats and kittens use their blankets as a comforting place to sleep and lounge on. When they get adopted they go home in their carriers with their handmade blankets to keep them cozy during their trip and while adapting to their new home. Potter League puppies and dogs love their blankets too! They make their Kuranda beds extra warm and cozy. Currently, the dogs don’t go home with their blankets. They get washed and reused for new pups that come into the shelter, but you can change that! If we blanket The Potter League for Animals with blankets, the puppies can take them home too!
