When clients are thoroughly confused by the levels of complexity they have to deal with it is frustrating.
Would you recommend tax preparation to others as a way to make some extra money?
I would! Hourly pay can vary, but some companies pay bonuses too. If you work for yourself you can charge what you like and it is nice to help people with something so stressful.
Special Requirements: If you work for a large, national tax organization, you’ll need some training. Many companies provide it and some do that for free. You may also need a tax preparer ID # from the IRS, if you choose to hang your own shingle.

Tax office jobs are also plentiful and flexible. Most established tax companies have their own job boards, and specialized accounting websites list tax preparer jobs as well.
