Book Spotlight

As promised, here is our first staff-reviewed book recommendation on living your life to the fullest: How to Retire Happy, Wild, and Free: Retirement Wisdom That You Won’t Get from Your Financial Advisor by Ernie J. Zelinski. This book takes an entertaining, comprehensive look at the non-financial aspects of retirement. It’s full of pithy quotes from everyone from Martina Navratilova to Seneca and includes useful lists and exercises such as the “Get a Life Tree,” a practical template that can help you design your next steps. On the way out…

“Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life. Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, do it.” – Neil Gaiman
