We are a venture backed start-up company seeking a part-time Sales Development Representative (SDR) to act as the liaison between our potential partners, and our sales team. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential partners. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from individual efforts, marketing campaigns and also meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with potential partners, from first contact until you help close the deal with the VP of Business Development. Responsibilities:

Qualify leads from individual efforts and marketing campaigns as sales opportunities

Contact potential partners through cold calls and emails

Present our company to potential partners

Identify partner needs and suggest appropriate products/services

Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction

Build long-term trusting relationships with partners

Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) partners and VP of Business Development

Report to the VP of Business Development on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results

Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

 

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Sales Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role

Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)

Track record of achieving sales quotas

Experience with CRM software (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)

Experience with web-based tools to research contact information (e.g. RocketReach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)

Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)

Understanding of sales performance metrics

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ability to deliver engaging presentations

BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field preferred

 

The role is located in the company HQ, in San Mateo, CA. Local candidates preferred. 20 hours maximum per week.
