We’re looking for a seasoned Product Director to own “Member engagement” which includes the user journey, site flows, design and implementation of features and functions. The role requires a balance of technical and creative skills, strong attention to detail, and sensibility with regards to the needs of our (largely Baby Boomer) Member base. Strong mission alignment is critical. Candidate will drive the Member engagement roadmap while working across marketing, engineering, operations and design teams.

Responsibilities:

Gather requirements and build specifications for product functionality that supports increased Member engagement.

Co-own and build strategy for feature roadmaps that optimize value for Members.

Ensure a smooth, aesthetically pleasing “Discover Your Next” experience that includes onboarding, profiles, member interactions, sharing opportunities/experiences, sponsor/vendor interactions, and other relevant features.

Define and manage KPIs against engagement and retention targets.

Deliver simple yet elegant product suitable for a “Baby Boomer” audience in transition.

Iterate design decisions based on member feedback and communicate decisions effectively across the organization.

Work comfortably across platforms (web, mobile and email/push content are essential).

Collaborate with engineers to determine implementation and set priorities.

Work with marketing to align on test design and analyze performance.

Requirements:

Minimum BA/BS degree (business, science, engineering welcomed).

5+ years product marketing experience.

Empathy and excitement for the mission: addressing the needs of transitioning workers and helping them stay active and engaged.

Experience hiring and leading teams, contractors and agencies to build out and execute against a well-formed user-centric roadmap.

Dependable and comfortable with quick turnaround times.

Nimble and detail-oriented.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Previous startup experience (<50 employees) preferred.

Experience in software, healthcare, or with consumer brands is helpful.

 

Role is full-time (although contract position is negotiable). We prefer San Francisco Bay Area candidates but will consider other locations.
