Getting to Know Your Guide
We asked our Guides some fun questions to help you get to know them a bit better.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Raising two kind, conscientious, engaged, intelligent, informed, loving humans from infancy to adulthood.
What is your favorite job?
Being a full-time caregiver for my 80 year-old mother, who has multiple physical infirmaties and dementia. No matter how bad of a day it has been, when I look into her eyes and connect with her, I see my mom, and feel blessed to be able to spend this time with her, caring for her as she has cared for so many others.
What is your greatest fear?
Heights. I have an absolutely paralizing fear of heights. But only if there is no barrier. Top of the Empire State Building I'm great. Top floor of the Sears Tower, riding in a glass enclosed elevator, riding a ferris wheel, I literally freeze.
What do you most value in your friends?
Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would want a faster metabolism, and stability in my joints.
What is your motto?
I have two. . . "Buy the shoes, eat the cakes, take the trip" and "Live, Love, Laugh and Be Happy."
What are you looking forward to?
Anytime that I get to spend with those that I love.
What have you always wanted to try?
To play the cello.
What do you do for fun? (or to relax)
Enjoy a great meal with a fine wine with family and friends; sit by the pool, walk on the beach.
What is your favorite dessert?
There are too many to choose from! Crema di Mascarpone, Panna Cotta, Creme Brulee, vanilla cake with chocolate frosting, tres leches cake, chocolate souffle with a vanilla drizzle.
